Make a Mala + Meditation Workshop

Join us for a gorgeous and fun workshop that will leave you feeling relaxed and happy! At this craft workshop, everyone will make a traditional mala, or meditation & prayer bead with wooden beads, gemstones, and other gorgeous materials. We’ll show you all the steps so that you can make a traditional mala and talk about what it’s used for. Take it easy and this fun Pop Shop America craft + yoga workshop.
We’ll have all the supplies and even discuss different meanings for the wooden beads and different types of crystals. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never made a mala or mediated before. We’ll have everything you need.
After we complete our malas, we’ll be lead through a quick mala meditation with a certified yoga instructor. This craft + yoga workshop will be relaxing and beginner friendly.
Pop Shop America art classes are new to Sunday brunch but have been every first Friday of the month for 3 years! Our craft and stylish diy’s have been a popular ongoing activity in the Houston art world.
Each workshop has a rotating menu of small bites provided by Greenhouse Catering Co. + light cocktails. You can also BYOB + your own snacks are welcome too. We play great music and socialize while we craft.
Join us at our craft workshops every second Sunday of the month at our new location on 19th St in the Heights! These workshops are lo-fi, beginner friendly, fun and cocktail friendly in which you will create your own stylish and modern design goods.
We are upstairs from New Living – the home of our Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day Terrarium Bar. They are the only certified organic mattress maker in the USA and are all about healthy living and handmade.
