Equipment

  • 1 Package Wooden Skewers
  • 1 Easter Bunny Cookie Cutter

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Watermelon
  • 24 Mini Marshmallows
  • 24 Toothpicks, or Squeezable Icing optional

Instructions

  • First, slice the watermelon across its shorter side to make 1 inch slices.
  • Lay the slices flat and use the cookie cutter to punch into just the pink flesh.
  • Remove the cookie cutter and use a knife to remove any excess watermelon that mis-shapes the Easter Bunny.
  • To add the bunny tail, do either of these: 1. Use a tiny amount of icing to attach the mini marshmallow tail. Give it a few minutes or even a few hours to set.
  • Or 2. Break tiny pieces of toothpicks with your hands and poke one end into the mini marshmallow and the other end into the watermelon.
  • Then using a twisting motion poke the a skewer from the bottom of the bunny up through the top of the bunny head without poking the skewer through the top.
  • And serve!
  • To store the bunnies remove the mini marshmallow tail and place the watermelon in the fridge for up to a few days. Then add a fresh marshmallow tail when you are ready to serve.
