Sunprints Kit – DIY Cyanotype Photography

Creating a piece of art from the help of mother nature is truly a one of a kind experience. By using the sun and the super user friendly Sunprints Kit, you can create beautiful DIY Cyanotype Photography that will be cherished for a lifetime.

The Sunprints Kit contains 15 sheets of sunprint paper that measure at 8″ X 12″ and an acrylic sheet to help flatten images or objects being placed on the paper.

All you need to do to create your own DIY Cyanotype Photography is here in these few simple steps:

1. Arrange your objects (a few of our favorites are flowers, feathers and lace) on a piece of the provided Sunprint paper. Make sure that you are out of the sun for this step.
2. Place the acrylic sheet on top of your object to help flatten and hold your item in place on top of the sunprint paper.
3. Now the fun part! Take your sunprint outside and lay it in the direct light of the sun for 2-5 minutes. You will see the parts of the paper that are not exposed to the sun turn from blue to white. When most of the color has disappeared that means your sunprint is ready! No worries if there is no direct sunlight. Just leave your print outside a bit longer and all will be fine!
4. Now to see your creation! To stop your print from exposing any further, rinse your sunprint in water and watch the white turn into blue and the blue to white. To get the deepest shade of blue leave in the water for 1-5 min and viola! Lay flat to dry and then you have your very own piece of art for all to enjoy.
