Yesterday, the Pop Shop Free Workshop at Houston Public Libraries was cut paper photo backdrops. Usually we teach this workshop for weddings and photoshoots. It’s all about detailed lush backdrops that make for great photos. Like this one on pinterest. So how do you transform this to kids/teens or people that don’t want to dedicate that much time to such a subtle craft?

Well we made it a whole lot of fun with 3 backdrops: a daytime scene, a night scene, and an abstract – whatever scene. All of this paper cost about $10 and we cut a million different shapes to add layers and layers to make a story of owls, ducks in a pond, flowers, puffy clouds, stars, and check out the rad dragon!

Here’s a link to the photo props that we cut out just for fun.
