Creamy, chocolately and party perfect! Now that’s what I want in a cocktail shot. These Easter Bunny Shots give all of the creamy chocolately goodness and more. This cocktail is made with chocolate milk, Bailey’s and chocolate vodka and best of all, you can eat the shot glass once you are finished with the drink.
It’s a simple cocktail to make and would be perfect at your Easter brunch or a spring gal’s night too.
So let’s make them!

Where to Get Hollow Easter Bunnies
It’s not just that you need a chocolate Easter Bunny that’s hollow, but you also need them to stand up on their own! Otherwise, you could make paper stands (like a picture frame kick stand) to hold them up. Serving them inside a muffin tin with green shredded coconut or green shredded paper could work, but it wouldn’t be as cute.
So a free standing chocolate bunny is essential. To find one, first look at the bottom to ensure it’s flat. Next, consider the width. You will want a bunny that has a fairy equal base in both length and width so it doesn’t tip over. Last, try to find a bunny that’s not top heavy.
I used these Palmer’s Chocolate Easter Bunnies. Sometimes they carry them at Dollar Tree – so check there first to save some dough!

How to Prep Your Easter Bunnies for this Cocktail Recipe
Use a sharp, non-serrated knife to cut your chocolate. Start with pressure on one end and ensure to cut across the entire chocolate in one movement.
You don’t have to cut them at an angle like I did, but it’s the best way to retain as much of the bunny ears as possible. The more of the bunny ears that remains, the more your chocolate with look like an Easter Bunny – that’s what makes this animal unique!
You could also try cutting a few bunnies at an opposite angle, to make some that are different.

Recipe Supplies & Ingredients
In addition to your chocolate bunnies, this recipe calls for Bailey’s Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Vodka, and Ice. The cocktail itself is quite simple. Additionally you will need a cocktail shaker and strainer. You may need a funnel. It just depends on what you are pouring from and how steady your hand is. A properly sized kitchen funnel will change your life. Just make sure it’s big enough at the top and small enough at the bottom to be useful.
Last, straws are essential. Drinking out of these Chocolate Easter Bunnies is not super easy, so I recommend paper straws because you can get them in all kids of pastels… Easter themes…like I found these iridescent pastel straws that are just perfect. Any straws you choose will need to be cut to about half of it’s length so keep that in mind.

How to Customize Your Easter Bunny Cocktail Shots
If this sounds like too much chocolate, or you just need an interesting twist, here are a few different ways to change this recipe in a delicious way:
Strawberry & Cream Cocktail: Use Birthday Cake Vodka, Strawberry & Cream Bailey’s, and Strawberry Milk
Mexican Hot Chocolate Shots: Use Whipped Cream Vodka, Bailey’s, and Chocolate Milk, then dust with Cinnamon Sugar
Vanilla Ice Cream Shots: Use Vanilla Vodka, Vanilla Kahlúa, and Milk with a dash of Vanilla Bean Paste
Banana Split Shots: Use Chocolate Vodka, Banana Liqueur, and Milk and finish with a Dried Strawberry Slice

Additional Chocolate Easter Bunny Shots Pro Tips
1. Freeze your Chocolate Easter Bunnies before you fill them. And use lots of ice! We don’t want the chocolate to melt as we sip on these cocktails.
2. Use a funnel to pour the cocktail into the Easter Bunny. Trust me, it makes it so much easier!
3. Don’t add your paper straw until you are serving them. You know paper straws get mushy so fast.

4. Serve these in a spot that’s safe and sturdy. Bumping into a table and knocking these over would be so sad.
5. Make sure kits know they have booze! Remember these would be so easy to mistake for a kid friendly treat. Label them that they contain alcohol so everybody knows.
